The Phoenix Suns haven’t been in the NBA playoffs for 11 years before their impressive first-round win over the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. Now, they find themselves in position to win five straight games this postseason as they look to go up 2-0 on MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets Wednesday in Game 2 of their second-round series. The Suns hold the Nuggets to just 42 first-half points as they extend their lead in the third quarter.

Denver dropped the opener, but actually owns a 3-1 playoff series record when losing Game 1s with Jokic on the team. He didn’t have the strongest of performances in Monday’s loss, finishing with just 22 points on 10-of-23 shooting. Phoenix, however, had four players reaching double figures — Mikal Bridges (23 points), Devin Booker (21), Chris Paul (21) and Deandre Ayton (20). Paul especially resembled his old self, which isn’t good news for Denver. What is a positive for the Nuggets is the return of Will Barton in the lineup.
