Jimmy Butler Likely To Decline Player Option

Barring an unforeseen change in circumstance, Jimmy Butler will decline his player option with the Philadelphia 76ers and become an unrestricted free agent, league sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

Butler is leaving $19.8 million on the table by declining his option. While the Lakers have also expressed interest, re-signing Butler remains a top priority for the 76ers, according to Haynes’ source.

The 76ers also want to re-sign Tobias Harris.
