The fourth-seeded Boston Celtics (49-33) making the break in game one and taking both the home court advantage and the 1-0 lead in the series, we have game 2 of this Eastern Conference semifinal, as they visit once again the top-seeded in the whole NBA Milwaukee Bucks (60-22).

Boston Celtics

boston established control on both ends of the court right from the opening tip, as it got off to a 26-17 start after one quarter. It shot twice as efficiently from the field during the opening frame (52.2 percent to 26.3 percent), while limiting Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to just one point.

Kyrie Irving had 26 points and 11 assists, tying his playoff career high, and Horford added 20 points and 11 rebounds to pace Boston, which controlled the game for long stretches while playing stingy defense against Antetokounmpo.

Jaylen Brown chipped in with 19 points and Gordon Hayward had 13 off the bench for the Celtics.Jayson Tatum scored four points on 2-of-7 shooting in Game 1 after averaging 19.3 points in the series against Indiana.

The Boston Celtics are averaging 101.8 points on 46.4 percent shooting and allowing 91.4 points on 39 percent shooting. Everyone on Boston played extremely good defense as well. A huge reason the Bucks struggled from the field was that they weren’t given a lot of open looks whatsoever throughout this game. Every Celtics defender was playing in your face defense, giving Milwaukee minimal space to find a solid look from the field. Boston has been known as a physical team all year and they proved that to be true in the opening game of this series.

Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks finished the regular season with a 60-22 record (47-30-4 against the spread) and were placed on top of the league. In their last game they saw a four-game winning streak getting snapped by losing at home against the Celtics in game 1 with a 90-112 score.

The Bucks only made five shots in the first quarter, en route to shooting 26 percent in the opening frame and falling into a nine-point deficit after the first 12 minutes of basketball. While the Bucks managed to fight back in the second quarter, back-to-back 30 percent shooting quarters in the second half led to a 22-point Game 1 loss to the Celtics.

The top-seeded Bucks shot just averaging 115.4 points on 47.7 percent shooting and allowing 100.8 points on 41.6 percent shooting.

Antetokounmpo scored 22 points on 7-for-21 shooting. This was after he averaged 27.7 points per game on 57.8 percent shooting during the regular season. Khris Middleton, who kept the Bucks in the game early, finished with 16 points. But Brook Lopez had just three points in the game. He was 1-of-4 from beyond the arc. Eric Bledsoe had just six points in 25 minutes.

The Bucks’ season is on the line in this game, and they should come out and play like it. They only lost eight times at home all regular season, and consecutive games just once. It would be a shock if they drop two in a row on their home court to open up this series. A bounce back game from Giannis gets them this win.

Betting Knowledge:

ATS- Against The Spread

Betting against the spread is a good betting strategy when the point spread is low, or the bettor believes the team they are betting on can beat their opponent by at least the point spread advertised. If the bettor believes the team will win big, betting against the spread will result in a huge payout. An example of betting against the spread would be if a wager that the Boston Celtics (-7) would beat the Indiana Pacers (+7). That means the Celtics would have to win by more than 7 points for the individual to win his bet.
